Has anyone else noticed how critical the surveillance footage was in solving Derek Quattlebaum's case? It's unsettling to think that a shooting could take place in broad daylight, yet without that video, the suspects might have slipped through the cracks. I can't even imagine how tough this has been for Derek's family and friends, waiting nearly two months for answers. It seems like the Richmond Hill community can breathe a small sigh of relief knowing suspects were apprehended, but it's so sad they had to face such a scary incident to begin with. It's reminders like these of the role technology plays, not just in prevention but in bringing some form of justice. My heart goes out to those close to Derek who have to navigate this unimaginable loss. ?️
Hey everyone, just came across some more details on Derek Quattlebaum's case. It's really sad how things unfolded, but I wanted to ask if anyone else finds it strange that the suspects' car had Vermont plates? I mean, both Charles Williams and Moeleek Harrell were from Brooklyn. It's curious why they would be driving a car from another state. Does anyone know if there was any further investigation into where the car came from or if it was linked to anyone else? Also, it seemed pretty bold to commit such an act in broad daylight—what were they thinking? It just leaves so many questions unanswered. My thoughts are with Derek's loved ones who have to face all this uncertainty.
Did anyone else happen to catch that the getaway car had Vermont plates? It's kind of odd, right? I mean, we're talking about an incident in Brooklyn, with suspects from Brooklyn, but they had plates from Vermont. I can't help but wonder if that means something—maybe they thought they'd throw off the investigation or maybe the car was stolen. Sometimes these little details don't fit, but they can be really telling. I hope the police are looking into that angle. Hoping Derek's family finds answers soon—no one deserves to have their loved one taken so senselessly. Has anyone seen if there’s been any further discussion on this aspect?
