I've been thinking a lot about the immense pressure Philip Perea must have felt in his final days, especially given his background in media. It’s overwhelming to consider how the very industry meant to inform and educate could be part of what led to his tragic death. The videos he posted indicate that he was desperate for someone to listen and to validate his struggles. It’s truly sad that it took such an extreme action for attention to be brought to his claims. We really need to discuss the role of mental health support in fast-paced environments like media companies. No job is worth a life, and I can only hope his story opens up more dialogues about emotional well-being in the workplace. Thoughts and prayers remain with his family and anyone affected by this devastating loss.
