I’m still trying to comprehend how such a tragic event could unfold in a normally bustling area like East Flatbush. People going about their day, possibly grabbing something from Adrian Deli & Grocery, could never have imagined witnessing such a horrific incident. It's beyond unsettling to think that a petty dispute inside a store led to Kerwin Craigwell losing his life so senselessly. And the fact that it happened in broad daylight, with so many people around, is a stark reminder of how quickly violence can erupt. My thoughts are with Kerwin's family and friends as they carry this immense loss. It's hard to find the right words for something so devastating. I hope the community feels some relief knowing that justice was served, with Herman Lancaster being convicted and sentenced. It sends a strong message about the consequences of such acts, but I wish we didn't have to face these situations to begin with. It’s a call for more efforts towards preventing violence and ensuring our neighborhoods are safe for everyone. Stay strong, East Flatbush.
