Hey everyone, I've been following the case of the missing Polish tour group and their pilot, Craig Layson, from the Denali sightseeing flight back in 2018. One thing that's been puzzling me is the satellite phone calls Layson managed to make after the crash. It's baffling to me how he could reach out twice, however briefly, but we still know so little about what happened after those calls. Was there something about the terrain that could have affected the signal such drastically? Or could there have been complications with the phone itself due to the crash impact? The details of the calls are so vague, and looking back, it feels like those brief moments of contact might have been a crucial window for rescue that unfortunately closed too soon. I also can't stop wondering if any attempts were made to track the signal from that phone, considering its importance in understanding what might have happened on-site post-crash. It just feels like a hauntingly missed opportunity. I'd love to hear thoughts from anyone who's more tech-savvy about satellite communication in difficult terrains or has insights on similar situations.

Hey everyone, Does anyone have more information about the equipment aboard the missing Denali flight N323KT? I read that the plane had some essentials like a first-aid kit, sleeping bags, and a stove with a pot. I'm curious about why none of these items seemed to help the passengers survive or signal for help long enough. It makes me wonder about the severity of the conditions they faced. Considering how quickly the situation spiraled and the harsh weather, could these items have realistically made a difference in their survival chances? Also, any insights on how these standard emergency supplies are usually used in such extreme situations would be much appreciated. It just seems odd that with all this gear, not a single person could make it out or communicate again after those initial calls. Looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks or knows!
