Was anyone else struck by how the security measures at the Gates Pub failed so disastrously? I’ve been thinking about how they had pat-downs in place to prevent weapons inside, yet Alligood managed to slip through with a gun. It’s deeply concerning, not just for Ricky and the other victims, but for anyone who visits places they assume are safe. How do places like this miss something so crucial? It really makes me wonder if there's more we could be doing at public venues to keep people safe. It's devastating beyond words for Ricky's family and friends who have to face this tragic loss, and for those who were injured in such a senseless act. How many times does this need to happen before we see some real changes? Sending love to everyone affected by this tragedy.
