Has anyone else looked into the fact that Matthew had recently suffered a head injury? I've seen a few discussions about what might have happened leading up to his disappearance, but not much focus on how a head injury might have impacted him. Could it have caused confusion or impaired judgment? It's so odd how everything unfolded starting with that cryptic text message. If his mental state was altered, it might have put him in a vulnerable position or even caused him to unknowingly put himself in danger. Given that he was new to living on his own and just settling in, I wonder if the injury made it harder for him to handle stress or make decisions. Would love to hear others' thoughts on how this might connect to the circumstances of his disappearance.

Has anyone looked into the cryptic message Matthew sent before he vanished? That text he sent about something “crazy” happening is so puzzling. It was literally the last communication he had with his friends. I can’t help but wonder what could’ve been going on that he felt he needed to talk “while I have the chance.” Why didn't he just call if it was that urgent? Maybe someone close to him knows more about what was happening in his life at that time. It’s been bothering me ever since I read about it. It feels like there's something important missing here, something big enough that he felt alarmed. Is it possible he had been worried about someone or something in particular? Maybe there’s a connection there with the strange sounds hikers heard in the area. Anyone have similar thoughts or any more insight into this?

It's been over five years since Matthew Weaver Jr. disappeared, and the circumstances still seem so perplexing to me. What's sticking with me is the location where his car was found. Rosas Overlook is known to be quite remote and rugged. I've seen a few discussions about how difficult the terrain can be, which makes me wonder about the challenges in searching for someone in that area. Considering the hikers' reports of hearing cries for help, it seems vital for search parties to focus more on the surroundings where his items were found. It’s tragic to think that someone could call for help and go unheard or undiscovered. Does anyone else feel like terrain and accessibility are factors that haven’t been adequately addressed in efforts to locate Matthew? It's hard not to think there might be something crucial in that wilderness still waiting to be uncovered.
