It's truly devastating to read about Edward Dobue and the circumstances surrounding his murder. I can't even begin to imagine the pain his friends and family are going through, especially considering the broader context of rising violence in New Orleans during that time. One thing that stands out to me is the city’s struggle with solving many of these cases. It makes me wonder about the community's role in this—are there systems in place to foster trust between residents and law enforcement? I've read about other cities implementing community-based programs that seem promising. Has anyone heard if New Orleans is trying similar approaches, or what else might be done to bridge the gap here? It’s crucial that each victim, like Edward, receives justice, not only for their families but also to prevent further loss in the community. My thoughts are with all those who knew him.
