I’ve been thinking a lot about Coco Ramlogan and the neighborhood where this tragedy occurred. South Ozone Park, like many other areas, has its challenges, but it’s also a neighborhood full of tight-knit families and people looking out for each other. The fact that Coco was found right outside his home just breaks my heart. It's supposed to be a place of comfort and safety. The video footage the police released really had me shaken. Kudos to the community for coming together and sharing whatever information they could. Sometimes it feels like justice takes forever, but this is a solid reminder that our voices can make a big difference, even if it doesn’t happen as quickly as we’d hope. Sending love and comfort to Coco’s family and friends. They dealt with this loss for so long without answers, but hopefully, this brings a bit of peace. It’s a poignant reminder of the strength our communities have when we come together to fight for what's right.
