I’ve been following Dejah Daisy Joyner’s case for a while, and it’s incredibly tough to think about how her family must be coping. I recently read about the community vigils organized in her honor, and it’s moving to see so many people trying to come together through such a dark time. These displays of compassion and unity really highlight how much Dejah’s loss resonated with everyone. Hearing her family’s words in court must have been deeply impactful, knowing the efforts they made to show their strength and speak about the profound loss they endure every day. It’s so crucial for communities facing such senseless violence to come together and support stronger measures against gun violence.
