I came across Hector Diaz's case again today, and I couldn't stop thinking about what a tight-knit community he was part of in Brooklyn. I’ve read that he was the kind of guy who knew everyone in his building on Menahan Street, always willing to lend a hand or a listening ear. It’s baffling and deeply upsetting that someone would target him in such a violent way. As someone who's been following the case for a while, I'm particularly interested in how community relationships might play into the investigation. Sometimes, just a small piece of information from a neighbor or someone in the area can make a huge difference. Hector obviously made an impact on those around him, and I’m hoping that sense of community can work towards finally getting some answers. To anyone who lived around there back in 2015, does anyone remember anything or anyone suspicious around that time? It could be the time to speak up if you haven't already. I can't imagine the pain his family must feel without closure, and I hope that with continued efforts, justice can be served.
