Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Alfred James's murder and how it affected his neighborhood in Brooklyn. I can only imagine how terrifying it must have been for those living nearby, especially hearing those unsettling noises that terrible night. I read that some neighbors had actually been quite close to Alfred and described him as a caring and gentle soul. Having someone like him taken away so violently must have shaken their sense of safety and community. I'm so saddened for his neighbors who not only lost a friend but had to contend with the fear and uncertainty while the case was unfolding. It's heartbreaking how one's peace and security can be shattered so suddenly. I hope, with time, the community finds some healing and continued support to help prevent such senseless violence in the future. If anyone else lives around there or knows more about how Brooklyn has been since, I'd love to hear from you. It's important that we keep discussing these issues openly.
