I'm really intrigued by the case of Jose DeJesus Pereda-Alarcon, or "Pepe" as folks knew him. Has anyone else wondered about his last known route to the Sand Draw Landfill? I can't shake the feeling that something might have happened along Federal Boulevard that was overlooked. The area can be pretty isolated, and given he had diabetes and memory issues, I wonder if he might've gotten disoriented and taken a wrong turn somewhere. Has there been any discussion about extending the search parameters a bit more along that route or even checking other nearby waste sites? It’s a long shot, but maybe there's some small detail that's been missed. If anyone has local knowledge or even some theories, I’d love to hear more.
Have any of you guys looked into the weather conditions on the day Pepe went missing? On September 5, 2018, Riverton experienced some unusual weather patterns, especially in the afternoon. I’m wondering if Pepe could have gotten lost or disoriented because of changes in weather while trying to find the Sand Draw Landfill. Maybe he took a wrong turn or got stuck somewhere when visibility was low. I know it's been a while, but if anyone has any photos or memories of that day, especially around Federal Boulevard, it might help jog some clues. Weather sometimes plays a bigger role in these cases than we think!
