Does anyone else find it deeply concerning that there were no security cameras at the James Monroe Houses, especially given the tragic events surrounding Darryl Samuels' death? With so many people around – children leaving school and commuters waiting for buses – you would think there'd be more surveillance in place to deter such acts or at least capture the events as they unfolded. It’s not just about solving this case, but also about preventing future incidents and making residents feel safer in their community. I hope the NYCHA and NYPD can work on implementing more security measures not only there but in other similar areas. My heart goes out to Darryl's family and friends during this difficult time. Such a senseless loss.

I was recently reading about the tragic case of Darryl Samuels, and something that struck me was the lack of security cameras at the scene. It's baffling to think that in such a densely populated area, especially a public housing complex, there wouldn't be comprehensive surveillance. It seems like this is a missed opportunity not only for solving Darryl's case but also for preventing further incidents. The community deserves to feel safe, and it's heartbreaking (there's that word!) that the lack of these basic security measures makes it so much harder for law enforcement to do their jobs effectively. I can’t help but worry about the residents who live in that area and how they might feel after such a tragic and public event. I really hope that Darryl's tragic passing isn't in vain and that it leads to some positive changes in the community, like getting those security cameras installed. I think that would at least be a start towards making everyone feel safer and potentially preventing future tragedies. Sending all my thoughts to Darryl’s family and friends as they try to make sense of this devastating loss.
