Has anyone else been thinking about how isolated that particular area of Franklin Avenue in Gentilly can be? I mean, it's a neighborhood with pockets of people but also these stretches where there's not much around. I wonder if that plays into how vulnerable Carlos Peralta might have felt when he was walking or doing whatever he was doing at the time. It's so sad to think that someone who has lived through so much could be targeted like this. I'm hoping that the fact it happened around 6 p.m. means there were people out who might have seen something helpful. Sending condolences to his family and hoping for justice soon.
