It's so devastating to hear about Debra and Leon Rogers. What's especially tough is trying to make sense of it all. I've heard from some folks in Nichols that they were such an integral part of the community. Debra's love for quilting brought a lot of people together—she had a real knack for bringing warmth and joy into her gatherings. I've also heard about the beautiful quilts she used to make and gift to friends and family. They hold a special piece of her heart and creativity, so I hope they bring some comfort to those who cherished her. It's incredibly painful for everyone who knew them, and my thoughts are with their loved ones as they navigate this immense loss. If anyone in the community needs support, maybe organizing a quilting group in Debra's memory could help keep her loving spirit alive.

Hello everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Debra and the legacy she left behind for her family. From what I’ve read and heard, she had an incredible talent for quilting and gardening. I can't help but imagine how her quilts might carry stories and memories stitched into them, now treasured by her loved ones. It's a shame that future generations won't have the chance to know her and experience her love and craftsmanship first-hand. The part of the story that sticks with me is how communities rally together in these times of immense pain. It’s clear that Debra touched many lives beyond her family with her kindness. I can't imagine how hard it must be for friends and relatives who relied on her wisdom and the comfort of her garden. My heart goes out to all who are grieving. Debra’s life should be remembered for the warmth and beauty she shared. To the family and friends, even as an outsider, I'm keeping you in my thoughts. If anyone else has memories of Debra’s quilts or gardens, or how she touched their lives, I’d really love to hear more about her as the person she was.
