I was reading through some old news clippings, and it struck me how tough it must be for Dwayne Stephens’ family to still be waiting for justice all these years later. One thing that hasn't been talked about much is potential witness intimidation in cases like this. I've heard sometimes people are afraid to come forward, especially in gang-related cases, and it's heartbreaking. The police rely on people’s courage to share what they know, but it's understandable why they might be hesitant if they're worried about their own safety. My heart really goes out to the community having to live in fear after such a traumatic event. I wonder if there's a way to support the neighborhood more to encourage people to come forward without being scared. Any thoughts or ideas on how communities can be better supported in these situations?
