Hey all, I've been following the Freddie Dizon case, and it's one that just sits with you long after you read about it. What struck me was how the legal process has panned out, especially with Gregory Ramos's overturned conviction. Can you imagine the emotional rollercoaster for Dizon's family? First, they go through the agony of losing Freddie in such a horrific way, then they hear that both key players in the tragedy are convicted only to have Ramos's conviction overturned years later. There's at least some sense of justice with the federal charges sticking. I can't help but empathize with Freddie's mom, Herminia, going through this rollercoaster of emotions. It's like reopening wounds that are just starting to heal. What's everyone's thoughts on how cases like these should be handled, especially considering the appeals process? It just seems like closure for the families feels so far out of reach when these verdicts are reversed. My heart goes out to them, truly.
