Has anyone else been following the testimony from the trial? I can't stop thinking about the bravery Shemel showed in her final moments. It's absolutely stunning to hear that with her last breaths, she was able to give law enforcement the information they needed to apprehend Taariq Stephens. At just 16, she displayed more courage than most people do in a lifetime. I feel so much for her family, especially knowing that her actions helped prevent him from possibly harming others. This case really underscores the senselessness of gun violence and the devastating impact it can have on not just the immediate victims, but entire families and communities. My thoughts are with Shemel’s loved ones.
