Hey everyone, I was going through some of the old threads on Dontay Gordon’s case and something that really pulls at my heart is the impact this tragedy had on his father, Durand Gordon. Losing not just one, but two sons to senseless violence is unimaginable. It's like a wound that keeps being reopened. I read somewhere that Durand showed incredible strength at the vigil held for Dontay, surrounded by family and community members rallying around him. It makes you think about the long-term emotional toll on families in these situations. I hope the community can continue to provide support and be there for him in any way possible. Also, fingers crossed that the investigating authorities find some leads soon and bring those responsible to justice, offering some solace to the Gordon family. Does anyone have any recent updates or know if there have been any community efforts or events to keep Dontay's memory alive?
Does anyone else find it concerning that, despite the surveillance footage of the Town Car, there have been no arrests in Dontay Gordon's case? I can't imagine the frustration his family must feel, especially with the added pain of losing a second son. You'd think with such a clear piece of evidence, there would have been some progress by now.
I wonder if technological limitations or the quality of the footage might be a factor here. Maybe someone who saw something just hasn't come forward? It's devastating to think that his family is still waiting for justice all these years later. Let's hope that by keeping his story alive, it might encourage anyone with information to step up and help bring some closure to those affected by this tragedy.
