I recently came across the case of Drexel Platt, and it’s truly troubling how violence keeps impacting communities like Baton Rouge. While there's a lot of focus on Drexel's tragic death, I think we should also consider the other gentleman involved. He’s a survivor, yes, but I can't even imagine the trauma he must be dealing with, knowing what happened to Drexel and experiencing such a close brush with mortality himself. Surviving a violent incident is not just about physical recovery; the emotional and psychological scars can last a lifetime. I hope he’s getting the support he needs, and maybe he could even hold some insights into what occurred that day. It’s crucial for anyone who might have even the smallest piece of information to come forward. Every bit helps, and the community must unite to combat this violence and prevent further tragedies. Thoughts and support go out to both families involved, especially Drexel’s—may they find strength as the search for answers continues.
