Hey everyone,
I've been thinking about the heartbreaking case of Lewis Encarnacion from 2017, and something has really been bothering me. We know that he had warned his mom about some threats from what he called the "Johnson kids." Has anyone else noticed or mentioned any details around this? It’s just tragic that Lewis had voiced his fears and intended to reach out to the police, but never got the chance. It seems like a really important angle that maybe could have highlighted any underlying issues at the Johnson Houses or similar environments. Were there any community outreach efforts made after his passing to try and address things like this? My heart deeply goes out to his family and friends. They deserve justice and peace, and it’s so disheartening that these threats were looming over Lewis without any resolution or protection in sight. If anyone has information or thoughts, I’d love to hear your input.
Stay safe and look out for one another.
Has anyone else been thinking about the role of social media in cases like Lewis Encarnacion's? It's been on my mind a lot lately how platforms could play a part in situations like this. Lewis told his mom about threats he was facing, and I can't help but wonder if there were any warning signs online that could have been potential red flags or clues. In some of these tragic cases, it seems like social media can either be a way to spot tensions rising or provide vital pieces of the puzzle after the fact.
It's deeply saddening to think of a young life full of potential cut short so violently, and my heart aches for his mother, Belkis, and all who loved Lewis. I hope the investigation can make some headway and bring justice for Lewis. Has anyone heard if there's been any talk of expanding social media's role in investigations like this? Be it monitoring or using it for leads, it seems like it could be an untapped resource.
