Hey everyone, I'm new here but I've been following Tonka's case for a while. I didn't know him personally, but I've seen how much he meant to those around him and it really got to me. Something that's been on my mind is the location of the crime. I've visited the Algiers neighborhood a few times, and that intersection of Lauradale Drive and Vespasian Street seems pretty busy. It makes me wonder if anyone passing by that night might have witnessed something or seen someone acting suspiciously.
It’s been over seven years, but I believe someone out there knows something. Maybe they didn’t think what they saw was important at the time. If anyone remembers anything, even the smallest detail, it could make a difference. I can't even begin to imagine what his family and friends are going through, but I hope they find the peace and justice they deserve. If you have any info, please consider reaching out to authorities or Crimestoppers. Let’s help bring some closure to Tonka’s loved ones.
I’ve been following the case of Tollette “Tonka” George and wanted to chime in here. My heart goes out to Tonka's family and friends during what must be an incredibly difficult time. It strikes me how someone whose life was so vibrant and full of potential could be taken away so senselessly. Tonka seemed to have a bright future ahead of him after graduating from Alcorn State University, yet here we are wondering who could have done this to such a promising young man.
It’s heartwarming, at least, to see the support from his community and former teammates in keeping his memory alive. I just hope that anyone with information, no matter how small it seems, finds the courage to speak up. These crimes can’t continue to plague neighborhoods like Algiers, ripping away beloved individuals and leaving their families with unanswered questions. Hopefully, justice can be served, and Tonka’s family can find some peace.
If you have any memories of Tonka or thoughts on what happened, please share. The more awareness we can raise, the better. And let’s keep supporting his loved ones as they navigate through this unimaginable pain.
