Hey everyone, I've been following Jose Velez's case since it happened, and something that's been on my mind is the bravery of his girlfriend, Brigitte Ortiz. Witnessing something so horrific and then dealing with threats online is unimaginable. It's just awful. Despite all the pressure and fear, she's been actively attending court hearings and sharing updates, showing incredible strength and resolve. It's a sad reality that victims and their families have to endure so much even after such a tragic loss. Brigitte's actions are a testament to her courage and love for Jose. No one should have to go through this, especially on top of losing someone so dear. I hope her efforts bring some comfort and a sense of justice for Jose’s family. Keeping them all in my thoughts. ? What do you all think about the role social media is playing here? Is there more that can be done to protect those who are trying to seek justice?
