I've been thinking a lot about the complexity of Donald Francis's case and the role that surveillance footage could potentially play in solving it. It makes you wonder about the quality of the footage available or if there were any blind spots in the area that night. This neighborhood, like many others, can have areas that are less covered by cameras, which could mean an opportunity was missed. My heart goes out to Donald's family and his passenger who survived. It must be incredibly frustrating to know that the answers might be out there on a tape somewhere, but still so far from your grasp. As tragic as this situation is, maybe it will encourage more businesses and community members to improve surveillance coverage, making it harder for such crimes to go unnoticed in the future.
