I've been thinking a lot about how Kawaski Trawick's ambitions and dreams played into the tragedy of his death. He moved to NYC with the hope of establishing a dance studio, and it's just so sad to think that those dreams were cut short so suddenly. I can't help but wonder about the impact he would have made in the dance community if things had gone differently. So many of his friends and supporters mention his passion and talent, and it's clear he had a vision for himself and others. It makes his death in his apartment, supposedly a place of safety and comfort, even more gut-wrenching. It’s hard not to think about what could have been for his bright future and how his life might have touched others in the dance world. Sending love and strength to those who were close to him.

I've been following Kawaski Trawick's case and something that really sticks with me is the role of mental health in these kinds of confrontations. It's so important to consider the mindset of someone who's clearly in distress—and it seems like the officers might not have done enough to understand Trawick's state of mind before escalating the situation. I can't help but think about whether things could have turned out differently if a mental health professional or a specialized response team had been involved. It's frustrating to see another case where it feels like a lack of resources and training led to irreversible consequences. I truly hope this becomes a lesson in how we approach similar situations in the future, so families like Trawick's don't have to keep going through such unimaginable pain and loss. Does anyone know if NYC has improved its protocols since this incident?
