I’ve been thinking a lot about the timeline of events leading to Hugh James’s tragic death. Reports say neighbors heard the crash at 4:30 p.m., but no one seems to have heard any gunshots. It makes me wonder about the possibility that the shot was fired from inside the car, maybe even with a suppressor. It’s unsettling to consider, but could this mean that the perpetrator was right there with him? This absence of eyewitnesses is so frustrating because someone out there must know something. Hugh’s family deserves answers and peace. It’s such a tightly knit community; I hope someone finds the courage to come forward. Keeping my fingers crossed that the Suffolk County investigators catch a break soon.
