Has anyone else been following the testimonies from the trial of Amir Bordies? I’ve been reading up on what witnesses have been saying, and some of it is pretty intense. One thing that really stands out is the character witnesses talking about Jay'mier "Kiss" Gillard—he seemed like such an amazing young man with a promising future ahead of him. It’s so moving to hear how involved his family has been throughout the entire process, showing courage amid their immense loss. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain they are going through, having to relive everything during the trial. The strength shown by Jay'mier’s family is truly admirable and speaks volumes about the love and respect they had for him. Anyone else here feel like this case is shedding a lot of light on issues we have within our communities, especially regarding youth violence? I really hope that something positive, like more intervention programs, can come out of all this tragedy. My thoughts are with Jay'mier’s loved ones, and I truly hope justice is served.
