I've been following Stephon Brown’s case quite closely, and something that really struck me was the resilience of his brother, Rory. After enduring such a traumatic ordeal, it's incredible to see how he’s managed to stay strong and even testify against the perpetrator. I can’t even begin to imagine what he's going through, losing his brother and being injured himself. It takes a lot of courage to relive that night in court and ensure that justice is served. This situation brings to light the emotional and psychological toll that survivors face, beyond the physical scars. Communities often rally around these families, but I hope Rory is getting the support he needs beyond the immediate aftermath. Therapy and community resources can be invaluable in these situations, but they’re not always easy to access. It would be great to see more discussions on how we can support survivors of violence like Rory, who carry the weight of these experiences with them for a lifetime. My heart goes out to the entire Brown family during this difficult time.
