Hey everyone, I've been following Lisa Sousie's case and wanted to bring up something that has been on my mind. It's incredibly difficult to fathom how someone like Lisa, who was trying to rebuild her life after separating from her husband, ended up in such a tragic situation. I keep thinking about how little time it can take for things to escalate to such a devastating level. It's chilling to think about how, just six weeks before this, she might have been hopeful about starting fresh.
These kinds of cases really put a spotlight on the importance of having strong community support and resources for those experiencing domestic issues. I can't help but hope that sharing Lisa's story can help others who might find themselves in similar situations to seek help before it escalates. Sending thoughts to Lisa’s family and hoping that her story inspires change and awareness about domestic violence in all our communities.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact of this case on Lisa's children.
