Has anyone else been following the Michael Ingram case? I can't stop thinking about the impact the COVID restrictions might have had on this investigation. It's scary to imagine that fewer people around could mean fewer witnesses. On the one hand, I understand the need for lockdowns, but on the other, it seems to have made it more challenging for the police to gather vital information early on. Even though they eventually identified Garland and brought him back from California, I'm curious how the investigation might have differed had there been more people around that day. My heart goes out to Michael's family — amidst everything going on in the world at that time, having to deal with such a tragedy must have been so isolating. Does anyone else have thoughts on whether the quiet streets might have contributed to the delay in solving this case?

It's so tragic to think about Michael Ingram losing his life that day, especially under such terrifying circumstances. I've been following the case closely, and one detail really caught my attention: the white Mercedes Benz SUV with the blown-out window that Dashawn Garland allegedly used to flee the scene. With so few witnesses around because of COVID-19, it's a real testament to the detectives’ determination that they managed to piece together enough evidence. Kudos to the person who came forward and ID’d Garland from the photo lineup. It must have taken a lot of courage to step up, but it played such a crucial role in the investigation. My thoughts are with Michael's loved ones; I hope they can find some peace knowing justice is being pursued. Does anyone know if the connection between Ingram and Garland has been revealed in court yet? It's the part that still leaves me wondering.
