Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Kevin Moore, and something that's been on my mind is how the community reacted right after his tragic death. From what I gathered, a local candlelight vigil was organized just days after the incident. It was attended by countless people who knew Kevin, as well as others who were moved by his story. I find it so moving how communities can come together in the face of such a tragedy. It’s a testament to Kevin's impact as a peacemaker that so many came out to honor him. What stood out was the way his friends and even strangers spoke about how they felt safer around him and how he was always the one to step in and calm things down when tensions were high. It's such a cruel twist of fate that his protective nature ended up costing him his life. It makes me think about how we, as communities, can do better at supporting peacemakers and fostering environments where they aren’t put in harm’s way. Kevin’s story is a painful reminder of how crucial it is to address underlying issues like gun violence. Have any of you been to similar community gatherings or vigils? Would love to hear your thoughts or any stories you might have about how these events help bring people together.
