I've been following Evon Hillman's case since it happened, and it's just so upsetting to think about how his family has been coping, especially his fiancée and their baby. I can't even imagine the pain she went through, losing him like that and having to bring new life into the world while grieving. It's comforting to know that justice was served with Worrell's conviction, but nothing can fill the void left by Hillman. The rash decision to shoot in a busy deli shows how reckless some people can be and how dire the situation with gun violence is in that area. It’s terrifying to think that going out for something as simple as grabbing a snack can end in such a tragedy. I hope this case can be a wake-up call for stronger measures against gun violence in Brooklyn. Sending love and strength to Hillman’s family and everyone impacted by this horror.
