Has anyone else been struck by how young these victims were? Eghosa Imafidon was only 23, and Joel Baba was just a year younger. It's so difficult to grasp how lives can be cut so short due to senseless violence. I can't even begin to imagine what their families are going through, having their beloved sons and brothers taken from them in such a brutal manner. This case just makes me think about all the unrealized potential, all the dreams and futures stolen away because of a moment of retaliatory rage. It's beyond tragic that communities are caught in these cycles, and it's vital we find ways to break free from this violence for the sake of our youth and their futures. Peace to all involved and lost in this tragedy.
