Hey everyone,
I’ve been following Lamar Gibson’s case, and my heart goes out to his family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time. One aspect of this tragedy that’s been on my mind is the location where it happened—the Washington Houses. It’s really concerning how gun violence seems to be such a terrifyingly common occurrence in certain areas, and it makes me wonder about the challenges residents face daily.
I've read about community efforts to combat these issues, but it seems like there’s still so much work to be done. It’s essential that city officials and community leaders find sustainable solutions to reduce violence not just in East Harlem, but everywhere. Lamar had such a promising future, and it’s devastating to think about how many lives are derailed by senseless violence.
If anyone has information or thoughts on how to help the community heal or support initiatives to curb violence, I'm all ears. I really hope justice is served soon for Lamar and his loved ones. They deserve answers and peace.

Did anyone else notice that Lamar's case highlights a larger problem with how we handle gun violence in urban areas?
