I can't stop thinking about the eyewitnesses in Ancil Blackman's murder case. I read that people initially thought the gunshots were fireworks. It's chilling to think we live in a world where gunfire can become so commonplace that it gets mistaken for a celebration. My heart goes out to those who witnessed such a terrifying scene, especially in a neighborhood that’s already dealing with so much. The mental toll on these witnesses must be immense. I hope they’re receiving any support they need to process what happened. It's crucial for the community to come together to foster some sense of security and healing in the aftermath of such distressing events.
