I can't stop thinking about the scene described where the officer witnessed the entire tragic event unfold right in front of them. It must have been such a shocking moment, arriving at what was already a tense situation and then seeing it escalate so suddenly. That officer's presence seemingly did prevent Casado from fleeing, but I can't imagine the distress they felt witnessing such violence up close. I hope they’re receiving the necessary support to process what they experienced, both for their own sake and to help bring justice for Juan Carlos Ortega and his family. It's utterly tragic that a young man's life was taken in such a senseless manner. Hoping the ongoing investigation shines more light on how and why this happened. My thoughts are with Juan’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
