I’ve been following the tragic case of John Ballam and something that really struck me was how this all unfolded right in a close-knit community like Pulteney. It’s tough to imagine that something so shocking could happen in a place where everyone knows each other's names. I’m curious about the community’s response leading up to and after Sherri Ann Ballam’s arrest. Considering her role as Deputy Dog Control Officer, people in town must have been familiar with her. Did anyone in the community notice signs of trouble or tension before this? It must have been jarring to hear about her being involved, especially since she initially reported a home invasion. Sending thoughts to John's family and friends; navigating such grief must be incredibly challenging. The community’s support would be crucial in times like these. If anyone from the area is comfortable sharing, how has the community been holding up since the sentencing?
