I've been thinking a lot about Jaquan's case and how frustrating it must be for his family to still be searching for answers. One aspect that's been bothering me is the friend's role in all of this. If Jaquan barely knew him, why was he there that night? And if the friend's story had so many inconsistencies, why hasn't there been more pressure to get a clearer picture? I can only imagine how difficult it must be for Jaquan's mother and aunt to hear conflicting stories and yet have no closure. It's so important for cases like this to be thoroughly investigated, but it seems like the system is failing them. The fact that the gun was never found makes it even harder for them to get the justice they deserve. I hope they eventually find the truth and some level of peace. My thoughts are with his family during this incredibly challenging time.
