I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact of Jamal’s murder on his family and friends. It's always so difficult to imagine the pain of losing someone you care about so unexpectedly. Despite any past mistakes or affiliations, no one deserves to be taken away in such a violent manner. It makes me wonder how Jamal’s family is coping and if they’re receiving the support they need during such a difficult time. I hope the community can come together to help them, both emotionally and in seeking justice. It's also a reminder of how critical it is to tackle the root causes of violence in our neighborhoods, so tragedies like this don't continue to happen.
