Hi everyone, I can't stop thinking about the location where this tragic incident took place. That corner of Northern Blvd. and 101st St. seems to have become an unfortunate hotspot for crime. I grew up not far from North Corona, and seeing such senseless violence happen there hits close to home. Community members have been calling for increased police presence and better lighting in that area for years, but it seems like it's an uphill battle. I really hope that with this case, more attention will be brought to improving safety in that neighborhood. Dontae Hambrick was just standing there with his scooter, probably thinking about his day or his kids, when this horrific event unfolded. My heart genuinely goes out to his family and friends who have to live with this unexpected void in their lives. This makes me wonder about what more can be done to address these issues and prevent such tragedies from happening to others. Stay safe, everyone.
