I can't stop thinking about Milton Grant's case and how terrifying it must have been for him and his friend. Imagine being confronted by armed individuals and realizing too late that an attempt to escape could have dire consequences. It's horrifying that such violence is still a reality for so many in our communities. What really gets to me is the involvement of such young suspects, especially the recently arrested 18-year-old, Ramon Rodriguez. It’s tough to wrap my head around how someone so young can be drawn into such a violent lifestyle. I can't help but wonder about the influence of gang culture and how it traps many young lives in a cycle of crime and violence. My thoughts are with Milton's family and friend who survived. I hope they find some comfort in the progress of the case, knowing that the authorities are actively working to bring all those responsible to justice. It's important for the community to rally together and work towards preventing more youth from falling into these destructive paths. How can we do more to intervene and support at-risk youth before situations escalate so tragically?
