I've been following the case of Luis Giovanni Colon, and something that's really been on my mind is how the community can rally to help solve this tragic event. It's so sad to think about how his potential was just cut short by this senseless act. Raising awareness is crucial. Maybe some folks who saw something that night on Vyse Avenue are hesitant to come forward, but their information could be key. It's easy to feel helpless watching from afar, but even sharing his story might reach someone who can contribute to the investigation. The simple act of speaking out or sharing tips anonymously is such an important responsibility. It’s clear that the NYPD needs as much collaboration from witnesses as possible to piece together what truly happened to Colon. Thinking of his adoptive mom, Tonia Letang, and how much she's going through without knowing why or who did this. I just hope justice comes for Colon and those who loved him. Such a tough situation all around.
