Has anyone ever been to Three Hole Bay or knows much about the area? I was reading about the disappearance of Corbett, Noyes, and Love back in 1981 and started wondering more about the conditions they might have faced. It seems like such a remote area—I’m curious about what the weather and sea conditions would have been like in late November in that part of Alaska. Could poor visibility or storms have caught them off guard? Would love to hear from anyone familiar with the region during that time of year. Also, has there ever been any search and rescue efforts attempted in more recent years with newer technologies, or has the case gone completely cold? It’s baffling how a boat and its passengers can just vanish like that.

Does anyone have more info about the Nannie D itself? I keep wondering if the boat had any history of issues or was known for being difficult to handle, especially in rough weather conditions typical for late November in Alaska. Understanding more about the vessel might provide insight into what could have happened on that fateful trip. And has there been any salvage attempts over the years to find it? It just seems odd that a 32-foot boat wouldn't leave some trace, even if caught in a storm. Thoughts or any sources are appreciated!

I came across this case while digging into old missing persons files, and the disappearance of Corbett, Noyes, and Love really stood out to me. The whole scenario raises so many questions. November in Alaska is no joke weather-wise, and they left on a 32-foot boat in those conditions—makes me wonder about the state of the Nannie D. Was anyone a skilled mariner? Did anyone check the boat for any mechanical issues before they left? The Alaska coastline can be brutal, especially around that time of year. I can't shake the feeling that there's more to this story, maybe something unexpected happened on board or they encountered someone (or something) at sea? It's haunting how there's so little information available, especially on Noyes. Just putting it out there to see if anyone has theories on why they’d risk such a trip.
