I find it so difficult to imagine the trauma that McCain's mother and the young grandson must be enduring after witnessing such a horrific event. The emotional toll of losing a partner and having your son involved in such a tragedy is something no family should have to bear. The presence of the child during the incident really raises concerns about how this might affect him in the long term. It’s important for the community to rally around the family and offer the support and resources they need to begin healing. Situations like these highlight the urgent need for more discussions around access to firearms and conflict resolution. Sending all my thoughts to those affected during this unfathomably devastating time.
