Has anyone else been following the community's response to Andre Lewis's murder? It's so touching to see how people in Brownsville have come together to honor him. I recently walked by the memorial on Willmohr Street, and seeing the blue candles lit up was really moving. It's amazing how neighbors described him as someone who could always make others laugh - it says a lot about the kind of person he must have been. It's just so sad to think that someone so well-liked is gone due to such senseless violence. I've also been reading about the pressures local businesses are facing, like the liquor store owner being threatened if he cooperates with police. It brings up a lot of questions about how these incidents affect the wider community. Does anyone have thoughts on what might help support both the residents and the businesses dealing with this kind of aftermath?
