I've been reading about Norma Perez's tragic death, and it really hits home how urgent it is for us to address domestic violence on a larger scale. It's horrifying that Louisiana has such high rates of female homicides, especially involving intimate partners. It makes me wonder what more can be done to support women who might find themselves in similar circumstances. The fact that the NOPD is asking for public help just shows how crucial community support is in these cases. Hopefully, with increased awareness and collaborative efforts, we can bring about change and justice—both for Norma and for other victims. It’s just so important to pay attention and not turn a blind eye. My heart truly goes out to her friends and family during this incredibly difficult time.
