I've been following the Dasheem East case, and something that really stands out to me is the cooperation between law enforcement agencies. It's not often you see such seamless collaboration across state lines, like how the Las Vegas Police worked with Syracuse officials to secure Kavion Strong's arrest. It’s a testament to the dedication of these officers and detectives who worked tirelessly to bring some sense of justice to Dasheem's family and friends. My heart goes out to them; no one should ever have to go through losing a loved one to such senseless violence. Seeing agencies work together gives me a bit of hope that, despite everything, progress is being made to curb this kind of tragedy. Let's not forget to hold onto hope for safer streets, not just in Syracuse but everywhere.
