I’ve been doing some research on Ralph Treffers, Jr. and the F/V Hideaway, and I'm really curious about the weather conditions around Prince William Sound when they vanished. It seems like a relatively small vessel for those waters, especially if the weather turned bad. Does anyone have any insight into the typical weather patterns in that area during the time they disappeared? Did they check the forecast before heading out? It makes me wonder if something unexpected might have caught them off guard. Any thoughts or info would be appreciated!

Hey everyone, I'm curious if anyone has any info on the weather conditions in the Prince William Sound area around the time Ralph Treffers, Jr. went missing? I know sometimes adverse weather can play a huge role in disappearances at sea. Particularly interested in whether there were any unusual reports or advisories around that time. Any ocean conditions could definitely impact a vessel like the F/V Hideway. Appreciate any insights you all might have!
