I've been thinking a lot about the tragic loss of Stephen Falise and how surreal this whole situation must be for his family and the Scriba community. It's so hard to wrap my head around a neighborly dispute escalating to such a violent end. One thing that's been on my mind is the UTV that Donald Coon was reported to have used that day. I wonder if it played a part in how quickly things spiraled out of control. Was it premeditated, with Coon using the UTV to quickly approach Stephen without giving him a chance to react or escape? It's just so chilling to think that something seemingly mundane, like a utility vehicle, could be involved in such a senseless tragedy. My heart goes out to Stephen's family and friends. It's unimaginable to lose someone in such a way, especially when it sounds like Stephen was a beloved part of the community. I hope they find solace and support from each other as they navigate this difficult time. And as the case moves forward, I pray that justice is served and some form of closure can be found.
