Wow, I just came across some old articles about the *Sea Fever* case and couldn't help but notice the eerie circumstances surrounding this boat. It's unsettling that U.S. Customs last spotted the vessel near the Grand Caymans but still couldn't pinpoint anything further. Makes me wonder about potential miscommunication or gaps in information-sharing back then. The fact that there was no follow-up or any sighting afterwards just leads to endless possibilities. Could there have been an attempt to lay low on purpose? If only communication technology had been what it is today, maybe we would have some additional clues. Still, nearly 40 years later, and the mystery only deepens. Wonder if there's anyone still coming forward with information nowadays.
Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions on December 1, 1984? I find it curious that the *Sea Fever* was heading out during what would normally be the start of the winter season. I know the weather in Florida can be unpredictable, especially out at sea. Could a sudden storm have contributed to their disappearance? It's odd to me that a seasoned crew would take off without checking forecasts, or maybe they were less experienced than they let on? The fact that they were last seen by U.S. Customs near Grand Cayman weeks later is puzzling too. What do you all think? Could weather have played a bigger role than suspected?
